Back to School ~ Always Fun Challenge #21

Hi Crafty Friends,

Are you ready for our next Always Fun Challenge?
Challenge #21 is Back to School.

I made this cute "survival" kit as a gift for either a teacher or student.  Who doesn't love
Bath and Body Works hand sanitizer?

I used all Jaded Blossom goodies on this one.
Rick Rack Topper Die
School Dies
Star Dies
School Rocks stamp set.
All of the die cuts were cut on my Gemini - everything cut with one pass through the machine.  I love the 8.5 x 11 platform.

The Fox and the Grapes ~ Cut It Up Challenges

Hi Crafty Friends,

Cut it Up Challenge #129 is taken from the Fable, The Fox and the Grapes.
The challenge is to use either a fox or a fruit (or both) on your entry.

Here's my card using the adorable fox from our sponsor

I took the challenge literally by encouraging that silly fox not to give up so easily.
The grapes are a Silhouette Design studio file.  The grapevine is a La-La Land Crafts die.
The heat embossed sentiment is from the Jaded Blossom stamp set, Encouragement.

Hop on over to the challenge blog by following the link above.
Remember to use a die cut.

Splash!

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's my day on the Paper Crafting World blog.

I'd like to share a fun summer layout.

Isn't this great for that perfect pool or day at the beach picture?  I love the wavy overlay and the title is so perfect.  You can find the Splash Layout set HERE.

I used AC Cardstock and Doodlebug Design.  I find these brands cut so easily with the Silhouette.

Be sure to visit Paper Crafting World for even more layout designs to give your scrapbooks just the right touch.

Always Fun Challenge ~ Tags

Hi Crafty Friends,

This week's Always Fun Challenge #20 is to make a tag (or something that includes a tag.)

I have just purchased some new dies from La-La Land Crafts and I wanted to put them to use right away so here is my challenge project.  I used Jaded Blossom's Luggage Tag Dies for the base.

I cut everything using my new Gemini.  Wow, it only took 2 passes through the machine for everything to be cut and every die came out perfectly - that's 12 different die cuts!  All I added was a tulle bow and my tag is ready to put on a Halloween treat or gift.

I hope you'll visit the challenge blog to see more DT projects and to enter our tag challenge.

Thanks for visiting,

Guest Designer for Pause, Dream, Enjoy

Hi Crafty Friends,
I am so thrilled to be one of the Guest Designers for Pause, Dream, Enjoy Challenges.  This week's challenge theme is Birthdays.
It seems I always need masculine birthday cards.  I created this one for my brother-in-law.
The background was created with the Sun Ray Stencil (My Favorite Things) which I inked in with Distress Inks.  I used a Jaded Blossom Tropical Die for the "sand."  The other die cuts are from La-La Land crafts.  I used an old DCWV Rustic Stack for the papers for the die cuts.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's So Many Birthdays.
This is the first time I've used a stencil for a background and I love the effect.  I'll definitely be using this technique again!
Thank you, Janis, for allowing me to share my design on your blog challenge.
Please visit Pause, Dream, Enjoy Challenges to join in the fun.
Thanks for being here!

Hugs and Happy Crafting!

I used Besties Sailor Boy.  You can find the image HERE.

The design idea came from Simon Says Stamp Sail Away With Me Kit inspiration. I stenciled the background using Distress Ink and then stamped the waves from the SSS stamp set.  The sailboat was a die included in the kit.  Sailor Boy was colored using Copic Markers.

I hope you'll join our challenge!

Step Up (with a Step Card)

Hi Crafty Friends,

Challenge #128 for Cut it Up Challenge Blog is "Step Up."  We're asking for step cards - so much fun to make.

Here's mine.

I've used the Simple Bracket Step Card cut file from SVGCuttingfiles.  The characters are a print and cut file from our sponsor, Fleuerette Bloom.  I used my Silhouette for the step card base and the print and cut elements.  The leaves are from Jaded Blossom's Fall Dies set and the sentiment is from JB's Fall Signs stamp set.

Here's everything that comes in the Little Critters set from Fleuerette Bloom

I hope you'll join us in our Step Up challenge.  Show us your step card and don't forget to use a die cut!

Daisies for your Birthday

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's my turn to post over on the Paper Crafting World blog.

Today I'm sharing a sweet card that I'll use for a birthday.

I used the Card Daisy 516 CF

I cut the file using my Silhouette.  I love all the card layers yet the flowers were simple to assemble.
The papers are from an older DCWV paper stack.  I added a little inking and some sequins.

Thanks for visiting.  I hope you'll head to Paper Crafting World and check out our wide variety of cut files, digis, and print and cuts.

Always Fun Challenge ~ Let it Sparkle!

Hi Crafty Friends,

Challenge #18 at Always Fun Challenges is
Let It Sparkle.  Well, there's nothing better than a little sparkle on your card, right?

Here's my card - a birthday card for my sister-in-law.

I hope you can see all the sparkle.  I used lots of La-La Land Crafts dies on this card.  The "Make a Wish" sentiment was cut from La-La Land's glitter adhesive vinyl and so was the heart banner.  I used classic white linen-pearl card stock to cut the flower and candle and pink pearl card stock for the birthday presents border.  I tied the tag with glittery tulle and added Stickles to the border cut and candle flame.  All of the die cuts were cut using my Gemini - wowzers, do I ever love this machine!! The patterned papers are from Bo Bunny's Petal Lane collection.

So, get your sparkle on and join us for challenge #18.  Just click the link above.
