Pearly Sparkles Monthly Challenge ~ June ~ Man's World

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's time for our new monthly challenge at Pearly Sparkles.

Our theme for June is It's a Man's World.

I know most of you are thinking birthday or Father's Day but unfortunately I needed a sympathy card for a friend taken from his family way too soon.

DoveArt Studios has some of the most amazing stamps and I chose Honey Run for this card.
Most of us are "county folk" here in my town so I thought this image would be perfect.

Along with the image, this set included the balloons digital paper and the sentiment.  I used the La-La Land Crafts stitched flags for the sentiment and Jaded Blossom Balloon dies for the banner.  The image is colored using Copic markers.

Just an FYI,
we will be taking a break from our challenges for awhile.  We hope to be back before the end of summer.  I hope you'll play along with this challenge and then keep checking back to see when our challenges resume.

My Time to Craft #398 ~ Make it Krafty

Hi Crafty Friends,
Our challenge for My Time to Craft is to use Kraft paper.
I love using Kraft paper for my card projects.  All of my daughter's Save the Dates and Wedding Invitations were made using Kraft paper bases.  I'm now in the process of making 50th Anniversary invitations, also with Kraft paper bases.  Here's how they turned out.
My wedding flowers were daisies so when La-La Land Crafts released their spring kit which included a daisy background stamp I was thrilled.  The daisy line art stamp was also included in the background set.  I used my MISTI to add the line stamps so they would be uniform on all of the invitations. I used my Silhouette to cut the gold numbers and shadow using glitter paper from Michael's and AC black card stock.  Then I added gold Stickles to the daisy centers.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Invitations Galore set.

I hope you'll join us in our Kraft challenge.  Just follow the link above.

Die Cuttin' Divas #421 ~ Tic Tac Toe

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our Die Cuttin' Divas challenge for this week is to follow the Tic Tac Toe grid.

I LOVE Tic Tac Toe challenges.  It takes challenge themes a little farther by giving  me more guidance.  You'll find the Tic Tac Toe grid at the bottom of this post.

Here's my project following the center squares top to bottom.

I used Jaded Blossom Scallop Circle dies and La-La Land Crafts stitched border dies cut using my Cuttlebug (I love my Gemini but when I go to a crop I take my Cuttlebug - it's quieter).
I used Copic markers to color this fun Caffeinated Crab from The Rabbit Hole Designs.  All of their stamps just make me smile.  I cut the stamped out using a Scan N Cut2.

Come play Tic Tac Toe with us.  Just follow the link above and don't forget to use a die cut as well.

Die Cuttin' Divas #420 ~ Add a Turtle

Hi Crafty Friends,
In honor of Turtle Day on May 23 we're adding turtles to our projects at
Die Cuttin' Divas.
I found this cute little turtle cut file at Miss Kate Cuttables.

Her files are so easy to cut on my Silhouette and I love the easy directions she provides.
I added the palm trees using La-La Land Crafts' island die along with LLLC's stitched tag and stitched border.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Turtley Rad set.

I hope you'll play along with this week's challenge.  Just follow the link above.

Fun-day Friday Challenge at Jo's Scrap Shack

Hi Crafty Friends,
Team A at Jo's Scrap Shack is up for Challenge #282.  Remember our challenges are always
ANYTHING GOES.
The sponsor for this challenge is Little Blue Button Stamps.
I love creating coffee themed projects so when I found this adorable Panda with Cup I was one happy crafter.

After printing the digital image, I cut it out using my Scan N Cut2 then added some Copic coloring.  I decided to make a large tag using La-La Land Crafts tag dies.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Coffee is Life set, the flag die is La-La Land Crafts and the little coffee cup cut out is from JB's Coffee Banner dies.  Oh, the Coffee Bean hearts are also from LLLC.  This was such a fun project to make.

I hope you'll join our challenge.  You have one week to enter.  Just follow the link at the top of this post.

Cut it Up Challenge #174 ~ Picnics

Hi Crafty Friends,

Let's go on a picnic!
That's our theme at Cut it Up Challenge Blog.

Our sponsor, A Day for Daisies, provided the watermelon digital image that I used to complete this card/invitation.

The title is from the Silhouette Design store and the ant is from Miss Kate Cuttables.  Both were cut using my Silhouette.  The grasses are an Impression Obsession die.  I colored the watermelon slices using Copic markers.  I've had the American Crafts patterned paper for ages!

Come join us at Cut it Up (link above).  Just follow the theme and don't forget a die cut.

Fun-day Friday Challenge at Jo's Scrap Shack

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's time for Team A to share their Fun-day Friday Challenge projects at Jo's Scrap Shack.

I made this coffee slider gift card holder using the
Pixie Caramel Macchiato image from this week's sponsor, The Paper Shelter.

The coffee slider die is from Jaded Blossom.  There is actually an insert that holds a gift card.  The scalloped wrap is from the Add-on set and the sentiment is from JB's Coffee Break stamp set.  I think it all went together to make a cute gift.

I colored using Copic markers and added Wink of Stella to the pixie's wings.  The patterned papers are from Doodlebug Designs.

Remember that our challenge is

My Time to Craft #396 ~ CAS

Hi Crafty Friends,

We're going for Clean And Simple for challenge #396 at My Time to Craft.

I received this cute bird stamp and sentiments from Whimsy Stamps.  Every time I order from them I receive a freebie stamp in my order - so thoughtful!

I used a Whimsy Stamps border die for the simple embellishment.  I colored using Copic Markers.
I hate fussy cutting so I used my Scan N Cut2.  Did you know that if you have "open" parts in your stamped image you can close them using a pencil.  Just draw a line around the open part, scan and cut, then erase your line.  I did this between the wings and the feet.

I hope you'll join in our challenge.  Just follow the link above.

Cut it Up Challenge #173 ~ Mother's Day

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today we are sharing Mother's Day projects at the  Cut it Up Challenge Blog.

The coffee theme has become so popular with die and stamp companies but Jaded Blossom just released a wonderful new set of Tea Dies and different tea-related stamps.  Such a great ideas since tea rooms are becoming so popular and not everyone is a coffee drinker.  I just loved this release so I used some of the dies to make my treat project for our Mother's Day challenge.

The bag topper is Jaded Blossom's Rick Rack Topper.  The teacup and saucer is from the Tea Die set and the doily is one of three in the Doily die set.  I used paper papers from Gina K and just added a twine bow with a rose.  I think it's just so sweet.

I hope you'll join our challenge. Our challenge sponsor is Lawn Fawn and they are providing a $25 gift voucher to the winner of this challenge.
