Happy Heart Day

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today is the start of Clear it Out Challenge #103.  The challenge is "Loving You " and the twist is red and white ribbon or twine.  This challenge is sponsored by Robyn's Fetish who provided my image, Christie Angel.

I colored Christie with Copic markers and added sparkly accents with Spectrum Noir Sparkle pens.  The sentiment is from my sentiment stash and the hearts are from Hero Arts.  I used a Lawn Fawn stitched rectangle for the mat.

Head on over to Clear it Out to join in our new challenge.

I'm Yours

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today there's a new challenge at Cut It Up Challenge Blog.  The theme is "Love is in the Air" so you must add a heart and, of course, a die cut.

I recently purchased the January Creativity Kit from Hero Arts.  It included this heart die.  I also purchased the add on die set which is the 3 tiny hearts and the Valentine die cut.  The sentiment is from one of the two stamp sets included.  It's a really fun kit.

The ombre effect patterned paper is from Authentique.  I heat embossed the stamped sentiment so it would show up on the black.

I hope you'll stop by the design team blog to see more of our designs and then join in the challenge.

Snow Much Fun!

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's my design team day at Paper Crafting World.

I have another one page layout for you using the snowflakes from the January Calendar Page and this adorable Snow Angel cut file.

I just love this set of patterned papers from Echo Park (Hello Winter) so I've used it for several projects.  I heat embossed the snowflakes using a sparkly powder and added sequins to each center.  The title was created using my Silhouette.  I just fussy cut the snow and inked it a little for some dimension.

Be sure to enter the PCW monthly challenge.  The theme is Anything Goes with the twist of add snow or a snowflake.

You can enter the challenge HERE

Thanks for dropping in today.

Cut It Up Challenge # 87

Hi Crafty Friends,
Today I'm sharing my project for Cut It Challenge #87.  The theme is "New Beginnings" and along with a die cut, we are decorating paper bags.
I've made a gift bag for a new baby girl using an svg file from Miss Kate Cuttables along with border dies from Jaded Blossom.
I've used my two favorite paper brands, Doodlebug Designs and American Craft.  Both cut so nicely with the Silhouette.  A tule bow and a tiny clothes pin are my only embellishments.
Be sure to visit the CIU DT blog to see more paper bag projects and then join us in this challenge.  Remember, you must include a die cut.

For Your January Memory

Hi Crafty Friends,

Happy New Year!
It's my turn to post for Paper Crafting World
.
Today I'm sharing a single page layout using the January Calendar Page.  I don't often do layouts but I love the simplicity of the this one.  I think it's really versatile.  I've made it a page layout, but it could also be a Planner page.  The cuts fit perfectly on an 8.5 x 11 page as well as this 12 x 12. It was originally designed to be a calendar page - so many ways to use the cuts.

The papers are from Echo Park - such yummy colors!  I decided to use circle punches to create mats for the snowflakes.  They showed up better on the patterned papers.  The snowflakes cut beautifully on my Silhouette.  I used VersaMark and embossed each one with Holographic embossing powder.  I have always loved adding corners so this file is perfect.

PCW is starting up the monthly challenge again.  The theme is Anything Goes with the twist of Snow or Snowflakes.  I hope you'll join in the fun.  Just click the challenge link on my sidebar.

Thanks for stopping by.  Here's to a healthy and happy New Year.
