Some Digi Fun

Hello Crafty Friends,
Today is my design team day at Digi My World.  I'm using images from two of our newest sets, Ninja Valentines and Kawaii Tulips.  Both can be found HERE.

I've been wanting to try a sunburst background - they seem to be all the rage on Facebook.  Anyway, I gave them a try and they were really fun to make and what a fabulous way to use up your scraps!!!

Here are this week's cards:
For this card I used:
Jaded Blossom Cheesy Pick Ups 2

For this card I used:
DMW Ninja Valentines
Jaded Blossom Simple Sayings Valentine Edition

As you can see, I only needed to add a little ribbon and a bit of bling to finish off my sunburst cards.
Both images were printed and then cut with my Silhouette and colored with Copic Markers.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Lots of Love Blog Hop

Hi Crafty Friends!!  So glad you could join me for My Paper Crafting's
Lots of Love Blog Hop

 There are only 8 stops along the way. So this will be a quick and inspiring hop for your Valentine's day crafting. If you came from Jen's Blog, then you are in the right place. The hop starts at My Paper Crafting so be sure to head over there and catch every stop along the way.

I decided to create two projects for this hop.  The first one uses a PCW cut file and the second one uses a PCW digi stamp.
Here are my projects~

PCW cut file used:  Double Heart CF
Other supplies include:
Spellbinders Lacy Oval die, Jaded Blossom Mini Tag Die, Bo Bunny and American Crafts card stock, My Craft Spot Build a Valentine stamp set, gem, ribbon, Signo white gel pen.

PCW digi stamp used: Snow Melt My Heart
Other supplies include:
American Crafts XOXO card stock, Spellbinders Labels 3, Jaded Blossom Valentine Die set, Recollections stickers, ribbon, at You Spica glitter pen, Wink of Stella brush glitter.

Now the fun stuff!
To sweeten up the hop, we are giving away a $20 gift certificate to PCW as well as picking one person from each blog that leaves a comment for a free single svg or digi of their choice from PCW (sets no greater than $2.00).

***The gift certificate will be drawn from one person who leaves a comment on any one of the 8 blogs participating via random selection.***

The individual winners will be selected via random selection by the comments left on each particular blog.

Don't forget to leave a comment on each blog so you can increase your chances of winning!

~~~ONE MORE THING~~~
Since I am so close to having 400 followers, if I reach 400 during the hop, I will select a second winner for a single digi or cut file from the comments left on my blog.
Now on to Sandy's Blog.
If  you get lost along the way, the line-up is posted on My Paper Crafting.
Cuppa Joe
Good Morning Crafty Friends,
  Today I'm sharing one of Paper Crafting World's newest digi stamps, Bear w Cuppa Joe.  Mmmmmm, a great expresso drink is the best way to start my day, how about you?
I found this perfect paper by Canvas Corp and the wooden button in my stash - I just added a little Powder Puff chalk ink and tied a bow using Scrapper's Spools.
A New Challenge at Open-Minded Crafting Fun
Hi Crafty Friends,
I'd like to start by thanking those of you who visited and/or participated in OMCF's very first challenge.  We had an amazing number of participants and are thrilled with our new followers.  What a fabulous way to get the new challenge off to a perfect start.
Now it's time to announce our second challenge:  WARMTH - either food or clothing.
My sponsor for this challenge is Digital Delights by Louby Loo (how fun is that?)
I've used Daisy and Bench (from the Daisy Accessories set) images to complete my card.
Isn't Daisy cute in her warm little sweater.  I've been wanting to use this page from the DCWV Homemade Christmas Stack.  I cut the border from the bottom of the page and placed it on the card base using real ribbon over the printed ribbon design.  I also cut an extra bird to add a touch of dimension along with the button and twine.  The images are colored with Copic Markers.
I'd like to invite you to join our challenge.  This time we have 5 sponsors so you'll have 5 chances to win!  Just link your project HERE.
Here are our sponsors and the prizes they are providing:
My Hostess Monday at Digital Delights
Hi Crafty Friends,
Today it's my turn for Hostess Monday at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
Today I'm sharing a brief version of one of the background techniques that I'm learning.  I met the fabulous Marie Gamber at a crop and she told me about her  Backgrounds online class through Color Me Creative.  Marie's Copic coloring is beyond amazing but it's her backgrounds that are so unique and bring the image to life.  Well, she totally convinced me and, while taking her class, I've been working on adding more background to my images in order to make the focal image pop.
Here's my card using Snow Buddy from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
 Here's a closer look at the background with a few added whimsical snowflakes using a white gel pen.
  Marie teaches a number of background techniques in her class.  This is my quick version of the Copic Marbleized background.
 First I colored my focal image using Copic Markers and then sketched in the "ground".  Didn't want my Snow Buddy floating in mid air.
I added the first layer of background color.
Now squiggles of colors used in my focal image barely blending them out.
And finally, a few whimsical snowflakes.
Remember, this is my quick and simple version as there is more to the technique.
Supplies used for this project:
Digital Image:  Snow Buddy - Digital Delights by Louby Loo
Cardstock:  Vintage Shabby - Tim Holtz
Jaded Blossom:  Mini Tag Dies
Spellbinders:  Postage Stamp die
Cuttlebug: Argyle embossing folder
VersaMagic Chalk Ink, Baker's Twine, Nailheads, Frosted Lace Stickles
I'm entering the following challenges:
Crafting When We Can: #60 Outside
Red Carpet Studio: #61 Snow Buddies
Digi Haven:  Baby It's Cold Outside
Thanks for stopping by today.  I'll be back on Wednesday with a sneak peek at Digi My World's new release which will be in the store on Friday.
