SKdigis New Release

If you've followed SKdigis you already know that Sonia is limiting her challenges to once a month when she releases her newest digital images.  The designers have had so much fun working up projects to debut her latest designs.  I enocurage you to visit SKdigis and see the entire November collection.  Sonia is also running a 48 hour special.  The entire new set can be purchased for $10 - now that's amazing!  I love coloring mushrooms so this fantastic image was right up my creative alley.  I hope you like it.

I have admired the way many of you have used banners/flags so I wanted to try the idea on my card.  And twine? Well, I love, love, love it and use whenever possible.  Aren't these mushrooms sweet?
When you visit SKdigis you'll see more along with some Thanksgiving images and some fabulous generic images that will be perfect for any occasion.

I hope you'll add SKdigis images to your coloring repertoire - they have nice thick lines (easy to fussy cut or use your Cameo) and are just lots of fun to color.  When you complete your own SKdigi project be sure to link it up to November's challenge.  Can't wait to see your creations.

Festive and Fun Bingo

We have a fun challenge for you this week at My Paper Crafting (CWC).  We're playing our version of bingo to help decide how to embellish our projects and you can play along too.

I used the Art Philosophy Cartridge along with the companion tree stamp and shaped tag to create this cute little gift bag.  The paper is double-sided by Bo Bunny and the tiny snowflakes are hand punched.  I used the stamp, ribbon, twine combination from the bingo board.

Come and join in our Festive and Fun bingo.  Just pick any 3 across, up and down, or diagonally. Don't forget to add a Cricut then link your project HERE so we can all see your fun and festiveness!

I've Got Spirit, How 'Bout You?

Hello my crafty friends.
This week the Tuesday Throwdown gals are showing their team spirit.  For us Northern California gals that might be the World Series Champions San Francisco Giants - WOOHOO!

Since my project was finished before the World Series ended, I'm showing my support of another team.  My oldest daughter is Associate Head Coach for Women's Softball at Texas Tech University.
Go Red Raiders!!

Anyway, this week's sponsor, Creations by AR, has the cutest cutfiles.  I used Adela's cutfile called "Sneakies" to create this project.  I used the PDF format and it really was quite simple to hand cut and assemble.  I think it's just so adorable. I do plan to finish the pair LOL.
The file also has a hi-top option.
Here are two more views.

I hope you'll visit Tuesday Throwdown to see more of the Adela's creations - they're pretty amazing.  Then you can show your own team spirit by linking your project to our blog.

Copic Fun for my Ladies

Thursday night was Copic class for my gals in Lodi.  Wow! I can't believe that I've been teaching this class since June 2011 and these wonderful gals have stuck with me.

They asked for Christmas projects so here's what I created for them to do.  Our darling little store offers lots of card classes so I try to add a little more for them. I also include a lesson each month since learning to be proficient with their markers is the goal.
We used this cute image from Great Impressions.

The stamp is from a Darcie's set and the sentiment is from the My Creative Time gift card sentiments.  This is a mini composition book.  I thought it would make a cute notebook to carry in a purse to jot down holiday ideas.

And finally, a gift card holder.  I patterned it after Emma's die cut and used her My Creative Time gift card sentiment set, but I created the holder on my Gyspy using George and Elegant Edges so that I could cut several at once.  The penguin is also a Darcie's stamp (the set that has the cute little button faces that you can add).

The gals had fun with their projects and got to practice coloring black, white, and red - some tricky colors for Copic users but my gals are doing so well.

Have a fabulously creative weekend!

Digi Desserts Fridaze

I've been having so much fun sharing Melin's digital images with you each Friday.
I hope you've visited Paper Crafting World to see all the wonderful images and My Paper Crafting
(formerly Cooking with Cricut) to see more projects by the CWC/PCW designers.

The image I used for today's project was made using this week's FREE image - Candy Corn Treater.  If you click the download link, it will take you to Paper Crafting World where you can pick up your free image.  The stamp will be listed at $1.00 but when you check out, it will be free.

This simple treat box was cut from the Art Philosophy cartridge. The paper is from K&Co.

Stitched!

Let's see some stitching on this week's Delightful Challenges project.  It can be real or faux.

I picked some of my favorite Amercian Crafts fall papers and arranged them in a patchwork design, then created the faux stitching using my Sakura 3-D Gel Pens.  The pumpkin is a part of
Digital Delights by Louby Loo's Halloween Accessory Set and it had the stitching lines - how perfect!

The flourish is a Die-namics die which I ran through the Cuttlebug and then accented with an atYouSpica glitter pen.

Join in our weekly challenge by linking your stitched project HERE.

No Tricks, Only Treats

The Cooking with Cricut (now "Craft with Cutters") designers are sharing Halloween treats.

We've been asked to create something other than a card or layout.  I decided on the altered Frap bottle filled with candy corn.  What's Halloween without candy corn, right?

The cute little pumpkin was cut from Simply Charmed.  I used hand punches for the other shapes. I have so many of these bottles (yeah, I love mocha), I really need to create more projects using them.

We'd love to have you join our challenge and show us your Halloween treat project.  Be sure to use a Cricut cut on your project and link it HERE.

NOTE: please click on the link to get to PCW/CWC as Melin is redoing the blog and links and the old URL for CWC will no longer work.

I'd like to link this project to the Cut It Up "Eek, Boo, Aah" challenge.

I'll be back tomorrow with a new Delightful Challenges project and then again on Friday for
Digi Desserts Fridaze.  Remember that there is always a link to a free digi download on Friday.

A Sad Farewell

We are saying goodbye to K Andrew Designs and Getting Cricky.  Kristal is a full time teacher and raising two little boys so she's decided to close her K Andrew Designs Art Stamps business.
Kristal's stamps have been an anchor for my creations and it's sad to see her business close.
The design team members are each posting one more time.

Today is my post at Getting Cricky.

So, this little card has something old (my K Andrew Designs "Fall O Ween" stamp set) and something new - my first cutfile creation using my Pazzles machine.  It was a fun card to make and I'm excited to add the world of cutfiles to my design creations.

Hurry on over to K Andrew Designs to get your stamp sets 60% off.  There's still time and you won't want to miss out.

It's been great fun being on the GC design team.  Some of my favorite designers and bloggers are a part of that team and I will truly miss designing with them.  Don't forget to drop by Getting Cricky for the next two weeks as we're still designing and sharing our love for K Andrew Design stamps.

The Pick of the Patch

I chose this lovely digital image from Paper Crafting World to share today for
Digi Desserts Fridaze at Cooking with Cricut.

The card is a 5.25 square.  I used Spellbinders Labels 1 for the mats.  The edges are inked with VersaMagic Chalk Ink in Pumpkin and Sahara Sand.  A little doodling and string finished the card.

When you visit Cooking with Cricut you'll be able to download this adorable image FREE.
Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you're planning a fun-filled weekend.

Halloween Treats

Lot's of Halloween ideas to be seen this week at Digital Delights by Louby Loo and Delightful Challenges.  Drop by either site to see what the design team members have created using images from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

For my Halloween Treats theme project  I chose to use these cute Candy Corn images from the Halloween Accessory Set.  The treat box is one of the pillow box choices cut from Cricut's Tags, Bags, Boxes 2 cartridge.

I colored the images with Copics and used Twine for the bow and the box loop. The paper is K&Co double sided cardstock.

It's the Great Pumpkin

Time for another Cooking with Cricut challenge.  This week we're asking you to use pumpkins, and/or circles and spots.  Woohoo, time for my favorite Bo Bunny Double Dot paper and a great reason to use my newest cartridge, Teddy Bear Parade.

I invite you to stop by CWC to see more projects created by my fellow design team members. I hope you'll link up your own project as well.  Remember that projects for our Wednesday challenge must include a Cricut cut.

A Little Inspiration

Today is design team day for Tuesday Throwdown
For this challenge, we were given an inpiration photo and then asked to select a digital stamp from Sweet N Sassy Stamps to create a project inspired by the photo.
I also used Cricut's Damask Decor (teacup) and Love You a Latte cartridges (tea time).

The Sweet n Sassy digi I selected is Chocolate Cocoa.  Isn't it adorable?
I hope you'll visit Tuesday Throwdown to see more of the design team projects.

BC Awareness and a Special DT Call

It's Digi Desserts Fridaze at Cooking with Cricut.  I hope you'll visit CWC to see more digi projects created by our design team members.  When you visit, you can pick up a delightful FREE image.

I used two of Melin's digital images to create more cards supporting Breast Cancer Awareness.

Both of these adorable digis are available pre-colored or in black and white line art at

Here's the free image Melin has designed just for this week's DDF post.

And now some exciting news.

Melin is having a special Design Team Call.  She's looking for designers to participate in her 25 Days project which celebrates Christmas and Year Round crafts.  It's such a fun time with amazing posts everyday.  She's looking for gals who design in a variety of genres: cutfiles, Cricut, digital images - you choose. You can read more about the Design Team Call by clicking HERE.

Sketch Challenge

We're having a sketch challenge this week at Delightful Challenges.  If you'd like to participate, you'll find the sketch at the end of this post.

For the challenge, I used the apple basket from the Fall Accessories Set and the Autumn Wishes pre-colored sentiment
Both images can be found at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

Because the challenge is to follow the sketch rather than a theme, you'll find lots of different interpretations when you visit the Delightful Challenges blog.

I followed the sketch almost to the letter.  All the papers are DCWV.  The leaves border punch is Martha Stewart.  I did a little doodling with my 3-D Gel Pens then added the ribbon and buttons,  The apple basket is colored with Copic Markers (of course!).

If you link up a project HERE you'll have a chance to win a gift certicate from

Here's the sketch to follow for this week's challenge.

I hope to see your project linked up to the Delightful Challenges blog.

Now I'm off to play with my new Pazzles!  Woohoo-cutfiles, here I come!!
