Red, White, and Blue

Wow!  It's been an entire week since I last posted.  Thank goodness I have a weekly Delightful Challenges post or I might just stay in my "craft cave," forgetting to come out and actually post on my blog.  I have new stamps, Nesties, and digi's that I could spend hours with and I'm also practicing, practicing for my online Copic Advanced Class.

This week we're sharing red, white, and blue projects.  I chose the adorable Stars and Stripes Lara from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  The wonderful paper is the new "Glory" collection from Authentique.  I used Copics and then added a little micro glitter for accent.

I hope you'll join in this week's challenge.  Remember that you do not have to use one of our images, but if you do, then you may enter twice. I hope you'll visit our challenge blog to see the wonderful projects being shared by the design team and then link your own project to Delightful Challenges

This week's prize sponsor is

I'm entering this card in Mojo Monday's sketch + round or square card challenge.

May all your weeds be . . .

It's time for my weekly Delightful Challenges design team post.  Our challenge this week is "flowers, flowers, flowers!"  We're challenging you at add at least 5 flowers to your project.  OK, I admit that I chose a digi from Digital Delights by Louby Loo that already had 4 flowers in the image, but you'll see that I added a few more. I think you'll agree that Claudia Cow is adorable sitting among the flowers.

You can join in our flowers challenge.  You don't have to use a digital image - just be sure to add at least 5 flowers.  If you do use an image from Digital Delights by Louby, you can enter twice.

Our prize sponsor this week is
Regina is graciously offering any three items from her store.
Just link your project HERE.

Thanks for Noticing Me

If you're looking for my Cooking with Cricut Blogaversary post for Day 3 click HERE.

It's a Disney theme for the Simply Sunday challenge at Getting Cricky.  Amy (Luv to Crop) made the most adorable mini cards using some stickers she had in her stash.  I've been stockpiling Disney stickers as well so I decided to turn loose of at least one.
I think this sentiment from the K Andrew Designs Of Mice and Lil Men set is just perfect for Eeyore. And, I'm trying to use my Nestabilities more especially since seeing the fantastic creations by Lisa (A Mermaid's Crafts).  I didn't do anything fancy, but at least I got some out of their binder LOL!

Here is the entire stamp set, which can be purchased HERE.

Thanks for stopping by.

Pretty in Pink

It's Day 3 of Cooking with Cricut's Blogaversary celebration.  The designers have been challenged to share all things PINK
I used Art Philosophy for the frame around my patterned paper.  A few flowers, a lacy border, and  a satin bow was all that was needed to highlight the pretty roses in the paper.

I hope you'll head over to Cooking with Cricut to see more deliciously Pink projects.  And don't forget, there is blog candy to be won as well as daily FREE downloads.

Happy Father's Day

This is the second card that I created for my Copic Class gals.  It's a pocket card and I just love how this stamp from Art Impressions looks on the outside of the pocket.

This coming week will be a busy week for posting.
Cooking with Cricut continues its Blogaversary celebration with Design Team Members sharing a different theme everyday on the CWC blog.  Be sure to visit CWC for wonderful inspiration and also to take advantage of the daily free downloads.  I'll be featuring one of the free downloads on my project right here on Tuesday.

It's also new release week for Copic Marker Scrapbooking.  As soon as Colleen posts our projects on the Marking Our Mark blog, I'll be sharing the entire release  here on my blog.
Hint - Hint:  those of you with ties to Canada will love this release!

I hope you'll come back to visit since everyday will feature something new and, I hope, inspiring.

You're Scent-sational

Time for our weekly challenge and Delightful Challenges.  This week we want you to add ribbon to your project.  Oooooh, I love ribbon, so much so that I can't seem to find a way to easily store all that I have (and, of course, I keep buying more.).
For this week's design team project I'm using Lili the Skunk, another adorable image from
Digital Delights by Louby Loo, along with the sentiment.

You can join in the fun by linking up your project to the Delightful Challenges blog.  Don't forget to include ribbon somewhere on your project.  If you want to have Lili for your very own, she can be purchased at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

If you have time today, I invite you to head over to Cooking with Cricut for today's

Best Dad Ever

Happy Monday.  I hope you had a lovely Mother's Day or, if not a mother's day celebration then a terrific weekend.
Now it's time to turn our thoughts to graduations and Father's Day.

My Copic class gals decided they wanted to work on masculine cards this month so here is the sample of one of the cards we'll be making.  I always provide them with a selection of images that they can color and then choose for their card front.  I think this little elephant is just too cute.

I'll have the next sample ready to post in a few days.  Hubby's having shoulder surgery tomorrow so what I can't get finished today will have to wait a day or two.  I love teaching this class - my ladies are just so excited about each image and project and it sure keeps me on my coloring toes!

Have a great day.
Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn

Yee Haw!

There's a wonderful new Western release being debuted today at Delightful Challenges.  Each design team member will be sharing one of Wendy's fabulous new characters along with a Western Accessories set and Sentiment set.

Today I get to introduce you to Lil Billy.  The wanted poster and barrel are from the Western Accessory Set and the birthday greeting is one of many sentiments to choose from.  All of the images can be purchased at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

Our challenge for you this week is Distressing.  I used Distress Ink and an emery board to distress my card.  Lil Billy and the barrel were colored using Copics.  I just inked the Wanted Poster, roughed the edges and then curled the edges.

You'll find many more examples when you visit the Digital Challenges blog.  While you're there, be sure to link up your project.

Our prize sponsor this week is

You do not have to use a Digital Delights image to join in our challenge.  Just follow the challenge theme and join in the fun.

Celebrate Mother's Day

We're celebrating Mother's Day at Delightful Challenges this week.  I used one of Wendy's delightful sets for my project.  The Flower Pot face and sentiment is from a set that has 3 different flower pot faces and several sentiments to choose from.
You can find the entire set at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

I used Elegant Edges for the mats. The patterned paper is a K&Company stack.  Of course I used Copics - did you notice the new badge at the top of my sidebar?  Some fun Crinkle Ribbon and pearls finished the project.

Mother's Day will soon be here.  Why don't you join in our challenge so you'll have at least one card made.  Just link your project to the Delightful Challenge's blog.

Teacher Appreciation

It's challenge day at Cooking with Cricut.  Our theme this week is Teacher Appreciation.  I remember the wonderful notes and gifts that my students and parents brought me.  When I retired, I started a memory book containing many of those treasured notes.  Because I stayed at the same school for 27 years, I sometimes received notes from two generations - priceless!

My card is simple.  It's actually from a We R Memory Keepers set to which I added the "Thanks" from George and Basic Shapes.  I like the size - perfect for a first grader to write inside.

I hope you'll join in our Teacher Appreciation challenge.  Just link your card or gift idea to the challenge link at Cooking with Cricut.

And don't forget to visit CWC on Mondays and Thursdays for the
Cartridge Showcases.  You'll see wonderful projects and be inspired to revisit some of your cartridges.

If you joined me during the Copic Marker Scrapbooking Steampunk blog hop, I'll be annoucing my blog candy winner on Friday.  Can you believe that I was left 137 comments?!!!!  This was our very first blog hop and the response was beyond incredible.  I've never had this much traffic.  I can't wait to see what others create with their free Steampunk images.

Hugs and Happy Crafting,
Larelyn
