Festively Floral

We're adding the flowers at Delightful Challenges this week.  I've used the Poinsettia from Digital Delights by Louby Lou along with a sentiment from the Magical Winter Set.

I used Spellbinders Blossom for the cutout and frame and then popped the poinsettia for some added dimension.
Join our festively floral challenge this week.  You might be the winner of a $10 gift certificate to our own

Just link your project HERE.

More Red and Green

The designers at My Paper Crafting are using the traditional holiday colors, Red and Green, for our final Wonderful Wednesday Crafts with Cutters project of 2012.
I used the Scandinavian Christmas cartridge for this card.  I used both the card feature, which gave me this oval window card, and the base and layers for the tree.  It's a simple card but with all that needs to be done over the next few weeks, I'm all about simple.

I hope you'll visit MPC to see more red and green designs and then join me again on Friday for our final Digi Desserts Fridaze before our amazing 25 Days Craft Showcase begins on Saturday.  You won't want to miss one single day!!!

Put Some Extra Layers On

We've been asked to put some extra layers on for this week's challenge at Tuesday Throwdown.  Our sponsor, My Grafico, provided us with silhouette digis to use for the challenge.  I took one of the butterflies, printed it in three different sizes and colors and layered each one and added Liquid Pearl bodies.  I also layered my mats after punching them with a Martha Stewart border punch.  The ribbon is crinkle ribbon from My Craft Spot.

Visit Tuesday Throwdown to see more projects presented by the design team and then link up your own project to our challenge for a chance to win products from My Grafico

Red and Green

It's challenge day at Delightful Challenges and we're using RED and GREEN for our projects.
I chose the Candy Cane Train from Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

I colored the image with Copics and Spica glitter pens and added a little inking around the edge.  The border punch is from Michaels and the ribbon is Bazzill.  The patterned papers are My Mind's Eye and Bo Bunny. I did add Frosted Lace and Crystal Stickles to the window.

You'll definitely want to visit the Delightful Challenges to see some fabulous red and green projects.  If you're not already pumped up for holiday crafting, these projects will inspire you.

Please join in our RED and GREEN challenge for a chance to win a gift certificate from this week's sponsor

If you're celebrating the Thanksgiving holiday, I wish you and yours a wonderful day.

Gobble 'til you Wobble

The "Crafts with Cutter"s gals at My Paper Crafting are sharing their turkey projects today.  I used my Gypsy and the Three Birds on Parade cartridge to create this guy.  I used the plain bird image (the first in the handbook), added the Pilgrim's hat and then used the asterisk from the font feature to create his tailfeathers.  He's mounted on a wobble so he'll truly gobble and wobble.
I hope you'll join us for this week's challenge.  One last turkey and then it's the home stretch for the Christmas holiday.  Just link your card to the wonderful Wednesday CWC post.

Thanks for stopping by.  I am so thankful for my loyal friends who visit often and take the time to leave comments.  You are all a blessing to me and I appreciate your support.

Getting Them Done, One by One

I've decided that the Christmas cards I make to share on my blog are going to be used for actual mailing!!  In the past, I've saved my challenge and DT cards and then had to make different ones to mail.  Well, no more - I'm letting them go.  I'm thinking 3-4 boxes of saved cards is too much and it's time to share them.  So, I'm getting my holiday cards done, one by one :)

Today's card is another image by the talented Sonia of SKdigis.  Her digis are so unique and so fun and easy to color.  They are perfect for those of you who want to color digis but fear they'll take too much time or are too complicated.  I encourage you to visit SKdigis, look around her blog, click on the tabs to see lots of ideas, then visit the store.  When you've created something using one of her images, be sure to link it up under the linking party tab.
I think this image is so cute and the circle sentiment comes pre-colored and can be punched out using a 1.5 inch punch.  I used Copic markers for the image and then glittered the star and applied Glossy Accents to the bear's eyes.  The papers are Bo Bunny and American Crafts.
This card was quick and easy.

Getting out the Cricut for tomorrow's Crafts with Cutters (My Paper Crafting) post so I'll see you then.

It's Christmas

Did I scare you?  Well, you know crafters, we're always at least a month ahead, right?
I made this card for today's Getting Cricky post and wanted to share it with you as well.

The digital image is one of SKdigis adorable Christmas images.  Sonia's stamps are so easy to color and so cute.  Her stamps would be easy to use when you have to make multiples.  I used sentiment stamps from two different K Andrew Designs sentiment sets.  Unfortunately, the two sets are sold out but there are still 21 different sets available.  Kristal is selling out her current inventory so all of the stamps are clearance priced (60% off the original price!).  Don't you think you need to treat yourself to a few gifts?  How about Skdigis and K Andrew Designs stamps?

I used Spellbinders lacy ovals and a plain oval for the matting.  I cut the sentiment banner freehand.  The red stripes on the candy canes were colored with a Spica glitter pen.

Thanks for stopping by.  I'll be posting everyday this week so be sure to come back.

Thinking of You

Good Morning Everyone!
It's another Digi Desserts Fridaze at My Paper Crafting and I'm sharing this adorable Bear with Pumpkin Cart digi from Paper Crafting World.

It's been so much fun bringing you a new digital image each Friday.  I hope you're taking advantage of the free stamp that has been offered every week.  This week's image is a Cornucopia that will be perfect for your last minute fall or Thanksgiving greetings. Just visit My Paper Crafting to see more digi designs and to get the link to the free download.

I hope you'll have a delightful weekend.  Off to do a little Christmas shopping.

Thanks

The designers at Delightful Challenges were asked to create projects reflecting the THANKFUL theme.  The projects can be for Thanksgiving, a thank you, or something you're thankful for.
I just love this image of Thankful Flurry from Digital Delights by Louby Loo

Instead of a card I chose to make a tag that could be attached to a gift bag.  The holly was cut from Cricut's Winter Woodland cartridge and the tag from George and Basic Shapes.  I colored Flurry with Copics and then used Frosted Lace Stickles for the fur on his hat.  Some rickrack trim and ribbons from my stash finished the tag.

I invite you to join in our challenge by linking your THANKFUL project to  Delightful Challenges.

I Feel the Love

It's time for November's I Feel the Love project.  The designers at My Paper Crafting are busy making cards for this month's recipient.  We're making children's Christmas cards for Madison to forward to Children's Hospital Central California.  I hope you'll join us.  You can read all about the I Feel the Love project by clicking on the  IFTL button on my sidebar.  I'll post the mailing information for this month at the bottom of the post.

I used the Simply Charmed cartridge for my card.  I'm really having fun with this cartridge.  I just can't figure out why I waited so long to get it.  The patterned paper is from an older DCWV stack.  A ribbon with a little bell was all that was needed to embellish this card.

Here's the information so that you can help Madison with this amazing project.  Please be sure to link your card up to My Paper Crafting's Wonderful Wednesday Craft with Cutters challenge.

Would you like to be a part of this month's I Feel the Love Project and join us in sending Christmas cards to

So Thankful for You

A few more fall and Thanksgiving cards on my craft table and then it's definitely the push towards Christmas.  This week for the "thankful for you" challenge at Tuesday Throwdown, we were given images created by Leah of Heart Song Designs.  Leah's images were my very first digis when I started coloring digital stamps about two years ago.  I love her designs.  For this challenge I chose her Sunflower image and sentiment.

I like the simplicity of this card.  CAS is definitely my style.  The image mat is a Spellbinders Lacy Ovals die.

I hope you'll visit Tuesday Throwdown to see more creations from the design team using Heart Song Designs digital images.  While you're there, be sure to link up and join in our challenge.

Thanks again to Heart Song Designs for providing images for this week's challenge.

It's Cold Outside

Today is my day to post for My Paper Crafting's Digi Desserts Fridaze.  I hope you've been following the Friday posts and picking up your free digital image each week.  If you're a cutfile kind of gal then you'll love the Tuesday posts at MPC because then you can pick up a free cutfile.  Wow!  that's two freebies EVERY week!!!!

My project this week uses the "Baby it's Cold Outside" digital stamp from Paper Crafting World.
I know you won't believe this but I used Distressed Markers rather than Copics - are you shocked?  I've had the set for awhile and figured I needed to give them a try.  This was a great image to use since blending wasn't really called for.  I had a little fun by adding the heat set Liquid Applique and highlighted "cold" with my white Signo pen.

Once again I used some non-traditional colors from my Bo Bunny paper stash.  I've been having fun trying to put together unexpected color combinations for my holiday cards.

If you visit My Paper Crafting, you can follow the link to pick this week's free image.
Enjoy!

PS - I won't be giving up my Copics!!!

Let It Snow!

And it is, unfortunately, for our dear friends on the East Coast who've suffered enough with "Sandy".

But that is the theme for this week's Delightful Challenge.  We were asked to create something using snowflakes and I really like the way this card turned out.
I used the Christmas Mailbox image from Digital Delights by Louby Loo and another of the
Magical Winter Sentiments.

The paper is from My Mind's Eye and the snowflakes are Martha Stewart punches.  I used Frosted Lace Stickles for the snow and added a few gems for a little additional sparkle.

I hope you'll visit Delighful Challenges to see more ideas and then link up your card for a chance to win a prize from this week's sponsor

Anything Goes but with a Twist

It's another Wednesday challenge for all of you Crafts with Cutters gals (CWC - get it?).

This week's challenge is a fun one.  It's Anything Goes, but you must use something that you've had in your stash for a really looooooooong time.  You know, those embellies you had to have or that paper or ribbon - whatever, as long as you dig something out and finally put it to creative use - along with a Cricut cut, of course.

I'm such a sucker for K&Company stickers, especially when they're on sale.  Then, there they sit because I'm using die cuts or coloring a digi.  I should know better.  Anyway, I dug out these dimensional stickers and put them to use.  The papers are also from my stash of last year's fall stacks.  I used Elegant Edges for the mats and frame and my Cuttlebug for the embossing - those two things I use ALL the time.

So now it's time for you to dig into your stash of goodies (you can make room for new holiday products!!) and join in the fun.
Visit My Paper Crafting to see more ideas from the CWC designers and then link up your own
Anything Goes project.

Fabulous Flowers

Good Morning, Crafty Friends
Are you adjusting to the time change?  I love feeling like I have more time during the day but it sure gets dark early making it difficult to stay awake at night - oh well.

Today I'm posting at Getting Cricky.  Although Kristal is clearing out her present inventory at K Andrew Designs, she's not closing the store.  She's just slowing down so she can dedicate more time to her job and boys.  The Getting Cricky blog will also remain active with a design team member posting every weekday.  So, don't remove us from your blog list because we still have lots of ideas to share.

The cards I'm sharing today have some really special embellishments.  The two cards that I shared on the Link Up For Pink were each drawn for a prize - Woohoo!  One of my prizes came from Jani at Paper Compulsions.  I was able to select some super files and then she sent me a box full of her amazing handmade flowers.  They are stunning - many with pearls, gems, and beads and in all my favorite colors!!  Please visit her blog for some amazing projects and tutorials.

I used the "Food for Thought" stamp set and Jani's gorgeous rose.

This sentiment is from the "Amazing You" set.  I love the color of these flowers.

I hope you'll continue to visit Getting Cricky and also stop by Paper Compulsions and leave a little love for Jani.

Snowie

I was asked to create a card using one of Digital Delights by Louby Loo's newest sets - "Snowie Set".
I love snowpeople and this little skating Snowie is just too cute.

The Bo Bunny paper is from my last year's stash - I love the soft non-traditional colors.  Snowie is printed on a Spellbinders Lacy Oval which I inked before removing the die. The "fur" on his hat is liquid applique that has been heat set.  A traditional Snowman, a Snowman topper, and a sentiment is included in the set.

I hope you enjoyed your extra hour today.  It takes me so long to adjust to the time change.  I'll be ready for bed at 7:00!

I'll see you tomorrow with some cards I'm sharing at Getting Cricky.  I received some amazing handmade flowers from Jani (Paper Compulsions) through the LUFP challenge and I'm featuring them on my cards.
Until tomorrow,
