Always Fun Challenge #4 FLOWERS

Hi Crafty Friends,
Have you joined our Always Fun Challenge yet?  I'm loving being able to share a variety of projects with this team.  I'm using more of crafty goodies and trying new things (or revisiting old favorites - ha!)  Our theme for Challenge #4 is FLOWERS.
Jaded Blossom has two new fabulous sets of Flowers dies so I hauled out my scrap stash and started cutting away with my handy Cuttlebug.  Here's my card:
Even though it's spring, I'm drawn to this color palette when digging through my scraps - go figure.
The fence is a die from Jaded Blossom's Scenic Backgrounds set.  The branch is a Martha Steward punch (yes, I still use them).

Delightful Challenge #21

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's time to share Digital Delights by Louby Loo Monthly Challenge.

It's always ANYTHING GOES so it's a great challenge to show off your creative projects.  Our only rule, you must use a stamped image and there is only ONE entry per person allowed.

I used Flower Power Daisy Graduates for my card.

I also used Jaded Blossom's School Dies and colored the image using Copic markers.
I've had this paper in my stash for a really long time so I'm glad I got a chancy to use it.

Follow the link above to enter our challenge.  You have THREE weeks to link up your entry.

Always Fun #3 CAS

Hi Crafty Friends,

Are you ready for our 3rd Always Fun challenge?

This week we're sharing Clean And Simple cards.  The CAS style is one of my favorite styles.  I love using mat layers with a sentiment and a simple, perfect embellishment.

Here's my card.

Sympathy cards are always a challenge for me, especially for a man.
I thought these Bohemian Feather dies from the  La La Land March Craft Club set were perfect.  I heat embossed the sentiment from Jaded Blossom's Wild and Free Stamp set.  I also used JB's Rectangle dies to cut the mats.  I love using these beautiful Classic Linen-White and Linen-Gold Pearl papers.  They are just so elegant.

I hope you're enjoying our Always Fun Challenges and will continue to share your projects with us.

You Make My Heart Sing!

Hi Crafty Friends,
Today is Challenge #120 at Cut it Up Challenge Blog.  Our theme is MUSIC.
The team was given some great musical dies provided by our sponsor, CAS-ual Fridays Stamps.
Here's my card.
The heart note (from our sponsor) is popped up on chipboard which the die cut through quite easily.  I used the Cuttlebug Allegro embossing folder for the background and cut the stitched heart window using one of the Jaded Blossom Heart dies.  The sentiment is computer generated.

Birthday Wishes

Hi Crafty Friends,

Here's my second post for today!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Easter and that your plans for the day didn't get rained out.
We've had so much rain in northern California.  We actually reached a record high for annual rainfall!
I'm really ready for more than two sunny days in a row LOL.

It's my day at Paper Crafting World.

I used the Birthday Wishes cut file to make this card for a special friend.
The file would be great for a page title but I just sized it down to make this 5 x 7 card.

I cut everything using my Silhouette then added some sequins, twine, and a little glitter to the flame.

Be sure to head over to the store to take advantage of this great sale.

Thanks for stopping by!

Always Fun Challenge #2

Hi Crafty Friends,

Wow!  What an amazing response to our first-ever Always Fun Challenge.  Thank you so much for making our launch so successful.

Challenge #2 is Easter.
I used several Jaded Blossom Die sets to make these cute treat bags.

I started with the new Ric Rack Topper Die and added bunnies from the Spring Dies set, butterflies from the Spring Dies 2 set, and also used the Bow Dies set and Flower Dies set.

I hope you'll continue to visit the Team Blog and join in our weekly challenges.

Challenge Reminder

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's the 15th of the month so it's time to remind you that there is still time to join in the
My Besties International Challenge.

Our theme for April is Flowers are Blooming.
Here's my reminder project using SCAN0010 Bestie Boys.

I thought the sentiment was perfect - it's OK to be a flower-loving pirate, right?

I hope you'll find the time to join our challenge if you haven't already.  Just follow the link above.

You Go Together Like . . .

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's time for a new release at Digital Delights by Louby Loo.
Wendy had a little fun with a well known nursery rhyme - Hey Diddle Diddle.

I took a little artistic license with my image, Dish and Spoon, to make a play on the idea of
 " You go together like . . . "

So, here's my card -

The sentiments are from Jaded Blossom's We Go Together sets 1, 2 and the Add On.  I also used Jaded Blossom's Stitched Squares and Flag dies.  The patterned papers are from Doodlebug designs along with the glittered sprinkles.

Here is the entire release - so much fun!

A New Challenge Blog!

Hi Crafty Friends,

Today is the debut of a new challenge blog,
Always Fun Challenges

Image may contain: bicycle and text

The design team will share their projects EVERY Monday and you'll have the week to add your project to the link.  All types of crafty goodness is encouraged!

Our first challenge is ANYTHING GOES.

For my debut project I decided to work with (for me) a different medium.  I used Zig Clean Color pens (watercolor) to color this Stampendous Cling Rose Cluster.

I stamped the image using Versafine black ink onto Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Cardstock.
Even though these are watercolors, I still created the blends using  light, midtone, and shadow colors for each section (still a Copic colorist at heart.)  I did use a wate rbrush pen to enhance the blending and then added a water brushed background.  I really enjoyed using these pens but know I still have to practice and there's a lot more technique to learn!

The papers are pearls are from my craft stash, not sure of the brands.

I hope you'll visit the design team blog following the link above and then join in the fun with us.

Remember, we'll be sharing a new challenge EVERY Monday!!!

A CASE Challenge

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have a fun new challenge on the Cut it Up Challenge Blog.

For Challenge #119, we each CASED a fellow design team member.
So, what does CASE mean?  For some it means "Copy and Steal Everything", but it sounds nicer to say "Share."  It's a great way to use another person's idea while also giving credit to the original design.  We decided that we would use a fellow teammate's design for inspiration rather than copying it exactly.  We're asking our challenge participants to do the same (be sure to include a die cut.)
You may CASE one of us or anyone you wish, - just have fun with it and be sure to credit the original creation!!!

Here's my project, CASED from my DT partner, Evelyn.

I was able to stamp and restamp the sentiment using my MISTI.
The musical notes are die cute from Taylored Expressions and the Celebrate is one of Jaded Blossom's Word Dies, cut from LaLa Land's new foil adhesive paper (LOVE it!!).

Here's Evelyn's original card:
She was so clever.  Her sentiments are computer generated!

I hope you'll play along with this new challenge.

Taking a Look Back

Hi Crafty Friends,
Happy April!!

Today is my day to post on the Paper Crafting World blog.
I've been designing for Melin for many years so I decided to take a look back at some of the many files from Paper Crafting World that I've used.

Here's Bunny Girl with Flowers.
Isn't she cute?  I love Melin's cute animal files.  And, this file is still available.  It would be perfect for Easter or Mother's Day.

And now for some news!
A new challenge blog is beginning on April 10.  It's called
 Always Fun Challenges

You'll find us posting every Monday so be on the look out next week and plan on joining in the fun.

Here's my design team project using Giggle Box Bestie Image 220.
No automatic alt text available.
I colored the image using Copic markers.  All of the papers are from my stash.  To embellish the card I used Jaded Blossom Flower Dies, Martha Stewart border punch, and LaLa Land love bird die.

I hope you'll join in the fun.  Just add your project by following the link above.  You don't have to follow the theme - it's just to help with inspiration.
