Non Traditional Halloween Colors

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's time for Challenge #108 at the Cut It Up Challenge blog.  Our theme is Halloween but with the twist of using NON-Traditional Halloween colors (and don't forget the Die Cut.)

Here's my card:

The shaped dies are from Jaded Blossom's Halloween Dies and Halloween Dies 2.  The frame and tree is a new die I just purchased.  It's by Taylored Expressions called Shade Tree.  I added some Nuvo Chrystal drops in hot pink to the branches.

I hope you'll join in our challenge when you visit the design team blog to see even more non-traditional Halloween projects.

6 Cards ~ 1 Hour

Hi Crafty Friends,

I love spending time in my craft room and creating special cards.  But, sometimes you just need some quick cards, especially when you're in a time crunch.

For Challenge 15 at Delightful Challenges, I used the Birthday Animals Clipart set from
Digital Delights by Louby Loo.

Here are the 6 cards I made in less than 1 hour.

I dragged and dropped the clipart file into my Silhouette Studio program, resized the images and then set the mat size to print the images to my computer, of course adding registration marks so my trusty Silhouette would cut the images after they were printed - easy peasy.

I just added a bit of ribbon and some Doodlebug Designs epoxy dots.  The sentiment is also from Digital Delights, Happy Birthday sentiment.

Now I have 6 cards ready to grab when needed.

I hope you'll join in this Challenge.  You have 3 weeks to enter.  It's always ANYTHING GOES, with a stamp (may be digital).  Just click on the link above to join in the fun.

Fall Fun

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's my day to post on the Paper Crafting World design team blog.

Today I'm sharing a fall layout.  I don't often make layouts since I'm primarily a card maker, but this adorable file made it pretty easy.
I've used the FALL FUN CROWS layout CF from Paper Crafting World.

I must apologize for the picture quality.  It was a really dreary day so there was no place to photograph the layout to get a good picture.

Everything was cut on my Silhouette.  I just added a little inking and a torn paper bottom border.  Except for the photo mats, everything else is in the cut file - LOVE IT!

Thanks for stopping in today.  I hope autumn has finally come to your town.

Cut it Up Challenge #107

Hi Crafty Friends,
Today we're using pumpkins on our Cut it Up Challenge projects.  I'm using an adorable Nerdy Pumpkin, part of the Kawaii Nerdy Halloween set from SVG Cutting files.
Isn't this a fun file?  I added some grass using Spring Dies from Jaded Blossom.  A touch of inking, some sequins and ribbon and there you have it.
Be sure to visit the CIU blog to see more clever projects and to join in our challenge fun.

Digital Delights New Release

Hi Crafty Friends,

Digital Delights by Louby Loo has a new holiday release.

I'm sharing the Gifting Snowie McFee set.

I colored the images using Copic markers.  The papers are from an American Crafts 6x6 pad called HollyDays.   The snowflakes were punched with a Martha Stewart punch.  I added Frosted Lace Stickles to the trim on the red snow jacket.

Here's the entire release:

You can see projects created using each set when you visit the Digital Delights blog HERE.

Harvest Blessings

Hi Crafty Friends,

It's my turn to post on the Paper Crafting World blog.

We are welcoming a beautiful fall morning here in northern California which is much appreciated after last week's heat wave!  I love the colors of fall so choosing papers to create fall projects is always a joy.

Today I'm using the Acorns N Leaves cut file from Paper Crafting World.  I used papers from my stash and cut everything on the Silhouette.  I just did some inking on the edges, rolled and curled the leaves and added a sentiment from Jaded Blossom's Happy Fall stamp set.

Thanks for stopping in today.

Breast Cancer Awareness Challenge at Cut It Up Challenge Blog

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's time for another Cut It Up Challenge.  Our theme for this challenge is Breast Cancer Awareness or Use Pink (and don't forget a die cut.)  Our sponsor is Digital Delights by Louby Loo.  Wendy provided the team with some adorable images and I chose Thinking Pink Lara.

The BCA papers are from American Crafts.  I used Jaded Blossom Card Mat Dies, Scallop Square Dies, and Stitched Square Dies.  I also used CC Designs flag dies.  The sequins are from Doodlebug Designs and Lara was colored using Copic Markers.

I hope you'll join in this challenge.  One random entry will receive a gift voucher from

A Little Coloring Fun

Hi Crafty Friends,

I was at an all-day crop at my LCC and spent most of my time coloring.  I'm "training" for some marathon coloring so that I'll be in shape for Jennifer Dove's Copic Boot Camp in November.  That will be 4 straight days of coloring, coloring, coloring.  For Boot Camp we can reserve times with a masseuse - what does that tell you???  I can't wait.

Anyway, here are two projects I created using CC Designs/DoveArt stamps which were designed by Jennifer Dove.

This stamp is Making a List.  I just love this traditional style Santa.

This is Cardinal Birdhouse.
Since I took the pictures with my phone during the crop and didn't edit, you might not notice that I used Stardust Stickles for the snow.  When I color this image again, I'll used Frosted Lace instead.  Jennifer's stamps are so much fun to color.  I'm so excited for Boot Camp and can't wait to meet her in person and learn firsthand her amazing coloring techniques.

Cut it Up Challenge #105

Hi Crafty Friends,
It's time to have some fun with our Cut It Up Challenge.  We're playing a name game!!
The challenge is to use something on your project that begins with the first letter of your first name - fun, huh?
My name is Larelyn so I'm using Leaves.  This cute wreathe was a freebie from Miss Kate Cuttables.
I love this woodgrain paper from Authentique.  The sentiment is from the new Hero Arts September monthly kit which I heat embossed.  The svg is actually 4 separate cuts with some very fine branches.  My Silhouette cut them perfectly AFTER I selected the right papers (struggled with some white core paper but Doodlebug Designs and CTMH cut perfectly).  I added some epoxy dots and twine and called done.
I hope you'll join in our fun GAME/CHALLENGE.  Remember to use something that starts with the first letter of your name and include a die cut (which might be your "name" piece).
