Double Trouble Challenge #197 ~ 3-2-1 You're in the Spotlight

Hi Crafty Friends,

Double Trouble Challenge #197 is now open.
3-2-1 "You're in the Spotlight"

Our challenge has 3 options so you'll want to visit the blog (link above) for a detailed explanation.
Each option gives you more chances in our Random Drawings.

Here's my project for #197 and how I interpreted all the Things!

Thing 1 Trouble Maker offers the 3-2-1 challenge:
3 COLORS - mine are orchid, violet, and black
2 LAYERS - I think adding mats adds so much to the design and the spotlight image is popped up
1 SPOTLIGHT TECHNIQUE  - You can check YouTube for tutorialsheck
the first time I've tried i
You may stop with Thing 1's challenge but to add a little more fun we have Thing 3 Twisted Sister's optional twist: - USE ONE OR A COMBO OF BIRDS, BUTTERFLIES, BLOOMS. I've used Gina K Designs Ruffled Blooms stamp, stencil, die set

And finally, to support our sister challenge blogs, Thing 2's Double Dare is to use the upcoming TSOT sketch #676.  That post isn't live until Tuesday but you can see a sneak peek in the graphic above.  The sketch is for inspiration.

I'll be back bi-weekly on Mondays to share more Double Trouble challenges.
I hope you'll play along.

Great technique for spotlighting... beautiful floral and love how you used the pinks and purples throughout the card and still created a spotlight affect... unique

I simply love this - the darker flower with detail against the same image background is fabulous :)

I'm with Melanie, in that I think the spotlight is a unique way to make the card special. A single flower makes a statement.

Excellent take on the spotlight technique, Larelyn. The idea of using color on color and still accomplishing the spotlight technique is so clever. Great card!
