Harvest Blessings

Good Morning and welcome to the Fantabulous Cricut Harvest Blessings Crawl (our blog hop!)

We've decided to create projects to give thanks for our Harvest Blessings.  Each Design Team member will be featuring a project that includes Brown, Orange, and Red - and at least one Cricut cut.

I created a single page layout for my project.  I am so blessed to belong to a wonderful family and to have a marvelous husband who supports me in all that I do and two wonderful daughters who make me proud each and everyday.

Leaves are Falling

Hooray!  It's Challenge Me Monday at Fantabulous Cricut.  The design team is sharing some wonderful "Leaves are Falling projects.  My card was created using Celebrate with Flourish.  I embossed the leaves and acorns then inked the layers before assembling to add dimension.  The paper is from the DCWV Harvest Gathering stack and the sentiment is a freebie I got from Sentimental Sundays.  Don't forget that you can join in the fun by linking your project to the Challenge Me Monday post at Fantabulous Cricut.

Easter Treats

I love putting together packages to send to my daughters for special holidays.  Since Easter baskets are not feasible for me to mail, I found other ways to package their Easter goodies.

Here are some of things I put in the packages:

I bought this plastic tube at my LSS - just perfect for Jelly Belly's.

My daughters love these candies!  I just decided to place a wrapper around the stack.

I made boxes and placed some smaller gifts inside.  The box and lid are each made from 12 x 12 cardstock.

Finally, a gift card holder and a carrot treat box  - the carrot was totally scraplifted!!!

The packages are on their way.  I wish I could share the holiday with one or both of my girls, but that's not to be this year - sigh!

Welcome to the "Back to School" Blog Hop

I hope you're enjoying the Second Cricut Card Fairy, Back to School, Blog Hop.  If you're arriving here from Sheryl's blog, then you've already gotten some great ideas!  We just can't thank Regina at The Cutting Cafe enough for her sponsorship.  One lucky hopper will receive three of her Printable Stamp Sets as our grand prize.  The winner will be randomly selected from the hoppers that leave a comment on each blog.

Regina graciously sent me her School Borders . . .Printable Stamp Set to use in my projects.  This is the first time I've used downloadable images and I will definitely use them again - just the image you need with the quick click of a button!!!
In these projects, you'll continue to see my love for layers and the simple design techniques that have become my "style!"

All patterned papers are from K*I. The cartridge used is Graphically Speaking p. 36

The inside cut is the Icon Blackout, GS p. 36 sized in CDS to 4.5x3.5

The sentiment is Celebrate with Flourish using base, shadow, and layers.  The "Star Student" is from Regina's The Cutting Cafe - Back to School Borders Set. 

The inside stars are from George cut in 1/2 inch increments.  The sentiment is computer generated.  Please see my August 31st post to learn how to easily transfer computer sentiments to your diecuts.

This altered composition book uses cuts from Graphically Speaking, p. 51 Type (journal) and Icon and Icon Blackout (star border).  The stars are from George, again cut in 1/2 inch increments.  The printed border is another of Regina's Back to School Borders.

I wanted to make a useful bookmark for the composition book so I used Potpourri Basket, p.62 Bonus feature for the pencil.  I cut the base twice at 3 inches, using the hide-contour feature on the Gypsy for the one of the two cuts.  I cut the layers (bonus - shift) 5 times to get all the colors for the layers.

Using another of Regina's borders, the bookmark is now a handwriting reference.
