Digi Desserts Fridaze

    I have a cute summer image for you today. For my Digi Desserts Fridaze project, I used Bear with Sand Bucket from Paper Crafting World.   I cut the sandcastle from the Life's a Beach Cricut cartridge.  The papers are Love Me Do by My Mind's Eye. I used my Copic Markers to color the bear.

Welcome to the CookingWithCricut/ PaperCraftingWorld Designers' June Blog Hop. I hope you're ready for two days of great projects with each day showcasing different designers and projects. This month our hop theme is all about Birthdays with one special birthday in mind. Our wonderful DT Coordinator, Jen Hudson’s, birthday just happened to fall on Saturday so we decided to make birthday inspired projects with a “Jen” theme in mind. Our go-to gal is a die-hard Florida Gator Fan, so we decided to use elements on our projects that reflected Our GATOR FOR LIFE Gal’s PASSION; Florida, The Florida Gators and anything that would make you think of the Sunshine State. Jen is the last stop on our blog line up so be sure to hop through and leave her some extra special love at the end!

I'm sending Jen this Florida and Gator inspired birthday card. 

I used the rectangle card feature from the Life is a Beach cartridge.  I've never used this feature before but it has so many possibilities, especially for photo frame cards.  The gator is from Birthday Bash and the sentiment is from MS Elegant Cakes.  I used a K&Co stack for the 2-sided patterned paper (actually found an orange and blue combo!). A little inking, some googly eyes, gems, and twine and the card was ready to be mailed.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JEN!!!  You are an awesome person and a gifted designer!!!

A Valentine of a Different Color

I just finished this card for the Jitterbuggin non-traditional Valentine color challenge.  I think I'll also post it to My Sheri Crafts anniversary challenge since I think it's approriate for both.  I have green on the brain since I'm designing Cards for Soldiers using greens so I just stayed with that color group.  The Changito stamps have always been a favorite of mine - they're always such happy stamps.  The palm leaf is from Life is a Beach and the sentiment is from Sweethearts.  Some inking with my favorite VersaMagic Jumbo Java, and a little doodling with my white Signo pen finished it off.  Oh, the sketch is from Raq's Card Challenge - whew, covered a lot of bases with this one :).

Wow! Two posts in one day.  Yay, I'm finally finding some card challenge time.
