Pearly Sparkles December Challenge~ Christmas

Hi Crafty Friends,

We have our final challenge of 2024 at Pearly Sparkles.

The challenge theme is CHRISTMAS.

I used one of my newer Betterpress plates with die for this simple card.

I used the Dashing Reindeer Betterpress plate and die set.

Cut it Up Challenge #318 ~ Sparkle and Shin

Hi Crafty Friends,

The holiday season is upon us and our neighborhoods are starting to show their sparkles and shiny lights.
So, what better theme for Cut it Up challenge #318 than SPARKLE AND SHINE.

There are so many ways to add sparkle and/or shine to your projects.  I'm sharing a few on my design team project.

I've created a shaker card using some fun sparkles for inside the shaker.  I added more sparkle to the pinecone and holly berries using Wink of Stella.  For the shine I used gold mirror card stock and added gold ink to the Altenew Rustic Burlap Press Plate.  Finally, the acetate shaker window definitely shines.
I colored the Betterpress Magic of Christmas frame image using Copic markers .  The shapes were created using Pinkfresh Studio's Nested Arches dies and the corner embellishment was made from dies from Spellbinders Make it Merry Florals.

I hope you'll play along with our challenge.  You may link your project HERE.

Sketch Saturday #764 Optional Twist: Something Distressed

Hi Crafty Friends,

Here's our next Sketch Saturday Challenge.  For Sketch #764, the optional twist is to distress something.

Distressing isn't really my crafty style but I found these older Bo Bunny papers that have a completely distressed look so I went with the.  I like the idea of the non-traditional holiday colors as well.

The sentiment is a stamp from Whimsy Stamps Merry Christmas Sentiments.

Here's the sketch for your guidance.

I look forward to seeing what you create.  Just link your project HERE.

Cut it Up Challenge #317 ~ Favorite Color(s)

Hi Crafty Friends,

Our theme for Cut it Up Challenge #317 is FAVORITE COLOR(S).

I really gravitate towards a green/purple color combination.  I never got to wear purple/lavender when I was young since my mom really disliked that color.  I remember my first independent act as a young adult was to purchase a completely purple ensemble - suit, scarf, shoes, handbag.  I was such a rebel - LOL!

Here's my card using the "A Friend Like You Bouquet" Betterpress plate and Copic Markers.

I added a butterfly from Pinkfresh Studio's Fluttering Butterfly die/washi tape collection.  I also used Jaded Blossom's Rectangle dies to give the mat a little more dimension.

I hope you'll play along with us HERE.

Build Your Stash Holiday Cardmakers ~ Sketch 51, Card 2
