Hostess Monday at Digital Delights

Hi Crafty Friends,   It's my turn, once again, to share a Hostess Monday at Digital Delights by Louby Loo project with you. I love adding dimension to my cards and one way is to create a window card and add layers both inside and outside the window.  I wanted to create the illusion of an ocean on this one.

I used both sides of the Kaiser Craft Sea Grass patterned paper.  I placed the Sea Grass paper as a mat on the card base first and then cut out the Jaded Blossom Scallop Oval through both.  I printed the sentiment on a piece of vellum and adhered it to the inside.  Then I added the die cuts from Jaded Blossom Tropical Dies, some sequins, and the adorable Mermaid Samantha from the Digital Delights by Louby Loo store.  I colored her using Copic Markers and added sparkle with my Wink of Stella brush glitter pens.

This gives you a better look at the vellum window.  I covered it with a piece of coordinating card stock with the oval cut out so you can't see where I adhered it to the inside cover.

Here you can see the flip side of the patterned paper which I used on the inside with a coordinating mat.  You can see it through the vellum and that's the look I wanted. Mermaid Samantha Thanks for visiting my blog today.

Celebrate Cut It Up Challenge Blog's 100th Post!

This is a memory box to hold baby's first year treasures.  Since the parents coach softball and dad is a former baseball player I went with the baseball theme.  The papers are from Hobby Lobby.  The shoe is from the Silhouette online store (baby shoe).  The letters and numbers were cut using Jaded Blossom's Alphabet Dies.  I used Bazzill dotted ribbon around the edges and the "A" is chip board painted with acrylic paint then pearl water color paint and, finally, black chalk ink on the edges. This is the card I made to accompany the memory box.

After stamping this adorable image from Stamp Annie Thing, I scanned it into my Scan n Cut, created a shadow and then cut them both out.  The #1 is also from Jaded Blossom's Alphabet Dies. Here's a list of our sponsors and the prizes that they have graciously provided for our celebration -

Stars and Stripes Always

It's my turn to post for Paper Crafting World.

Our family had a wonderful 4th of July long weekend.  We started on Saturday with our small town's Independence Day Parade, then a pool party with friends, topped off with a spectacular fireworks show.  On the 4th, we headed to the Delta to share the day and evening with family.

So, what's my point in sharing?  Paper Crafting World has the perfect cut files to help create your scrapbook pages to save your memories.  For this single page layout, I used Melinda's newest
Pazzles Craft Room  EXCLUSIVE files, Stars and Stripes Bear Boy, and Stars & Stripes Always title.  Both can be found by searching the Pazzles image library for PCW.  These files are on page 5.

You don't have to own a Pazzles to download these files as they also come in the SVG format.  You do, however, have to subscribe to the Pazzles Craft Room.  There are several plans to choose from and even if you only join for a month, you'd be able to download many, many amazing files. I cut these files on my Silhouette using American Crafts and Doodlebug Designs card stock.  I inked the bear with Powder Puff chalk ink and added some sparkle to the stars and sparkler using Wink of Stella yellow glitter brush pen.

Cut it Up Challenge #99

Hi Crafty Friends,
Cut it Up Challenge #99 is a 3-D project.  My Jaded Blossom dies made this an easy one for me.  I made a cute little birthday treat/gift bag using the Goody Bag Die and added a fun digi stamp from our challenge sponsor, Bugaboo Stamps.

I used my Cuttlebug to cut out the Goody Bag and front panel.  I colored the image using Prisma water color pencils blended using the Tombow blending pen N00.  I also added some Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle to the balloons and frosting.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Sweet Birthday Wishes set which I stamped and then heat embossed.  The twine and sprinkles are from Doodlebug Designs.  The patterned paper is from PhotoPlay and is part of the Party Boy set.

Isn't she cute?  I colored her using Copic Markers.  The mats were cut with stitched rectangles.  I added some ribbon and a cute little clothespin that I found at Target.

My Dad Rocks!

It's my day to post at Paper Crafting World.

Today I have a cute Father's Day card using the Dinosaur Babies cut file from PCW.
I've used only one of the four dinosaur babies in the set.

In order to have the dad and baby match, using my Silhouette. I copied the image, reversed it and then sized it down to make the baby.   I chalked the edges with VersaMark Chalk ink and used dimensionals to pop up the daddy dino.  The sentiment is from Jaded Blossom's Father's Day set.  The papers are from my stash.

You're a Tough Cookie

Hi Crafty Friends, My daughter asked for a card to give to one of her customers who is scheduled for surgery soon. We decided to make a lollipop holder since we found the perfect Jaded Blossom sentiment and SVG Cutting Files cut file.   We love the way it turned out.

Jaded Blossom:  Lollipop Die, Mini Tag Dies, Get Well Stamp set, Milk and Cookies Stamp set SVG Cutting Files:  One Tough Cookie card which I altered in Silhouette studio cutting off half the card base and sizing it to fit the Lollipop holder I think her customer will get a kick out of the treat  and appreciate her thoughtfulness.

Cut It Up Challenge #98

It's time for another Cut it Up Challenge. Challenge #98 is Sand and Surf and don't forget to use a die cut.
Our challenge is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps who provided this cute crab digital image for my project.

I used a sticker that I found in my stash from a Shop Hop that I went on about 4 years ago.  I just added some mats.  I used Jaded Blossom's Card Mat dies and Tropical dies as well.  The crab was colored using Prismacolor pencils and cut out with my Scan n Cut.  I decided not to use a blending agent but rather let the tooth of the paper show through.  I have a lot of experimenting to do using color pencils to determine what techniques and papers I like best.

Digital Delights Alphabet Characters

Hi Crafty Friends, The second half of the Delightful Alphabet Characters has been released at  Digital Delights by Louby Loo. Head on over to the design team blog to see the remainder of the release. I'm sharing N Needle Mouse - so adorable!

The papers are Carta Bella Sew Lovely.  I colored the image using Prima Water Color Pencils.  I used a Lolliz gel pen for the thimble and needle and filled in the "N" with Spectrum Noir Sparkle pen.  The button and twine is from my stash. I cut the image out using my Scan n Cut.

It's my day to post on the Paper Crafting World Blog.

With Father's Day a little over two weeks away I thought I'd share Father's Day card.  My daughter laid claim to it before I even got it assembled!!!

I used Paper Crafting World's Tag Chevron - Dad cut file.  Right now it's on sale for only $1.  I was going through my masculine papers and found several that I thought would look good on this card.  I cut everything on my Silhouette.
